With four athletes winning event titles, Brookfield East's girls track and field team came in second place at Wisconsin Lutheran's Pre-Prom Party Invitational on April 28.
Emily Breider, Eleni Tongas, Lizzy Cagle and Riley Kindt all earned individual event titles for East, as the Spartans scored 125.5 points to finish behind the host Vikings, which won the meet with 132 points.
Tongas won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.91 seconds and took third in the long jump at 16 feet, 1 inch. Breider took first place in the 400 in 58.99 seconds and was eighth in the long jump at 15-04 1/2.
Kindt was victorious in the high jump clearing 5 feet and was fourth in the 100 in 13.21 seconds. Cagle used a throw of 38-07 1/4 to win the shot put title and threw 103-05 in the discus to come in fourth.
Gina Behling was second in the 800 in 2 minutes, 28.11 seconds and fifth in the 1,600 in 5:23.28, Katie Work took second in the discus with a toss of 104-05 and Natalie Rouse took third in the shot put at 34-10 1/4. Meg Swietlik placed fourth in the 3,200 in 11:45.24, Lexi Penney was fifth in the pole vault clearing 8-06 and Bella Rosa was fifth in the 200 in 28.09 and in the triple jump at 33-11 3/4.
Claudia Lecher placed sixth in the discus at 100-07, Rose Dundun took seventh in the pole vault clearing 8-00, Sophie Tasker was eighth in the 1,600 in 5:37.66 and Olivia DeValkenaere claimed eighth in the shot put at 32-03 1/4.
Swietlik, Tasker, Kayla LaFontain and Isabel Szablewski teamed to finish second in the 4x800 in 10:26.79.
