It took an extra five minutes, but Brookfield East's girls basketball team pulled out a 52-47 win in overtime over Menomonee Falls on Jan. 31.

The Spartans were led by junior forward Molly DeValkenaere with 17 points. Junior forward LIzzy Cagle had 13 points and four rebounds; junior guard Emma Ralfs finished with 10 points and four assists; and junior guard Nikki Pink added 7 points with four steals.
