Brookfield Central and Brookfield East remained on a collision course to meet for the Greater Metro Conference title as unbeaten teams in two weeks, as both schools rolled to easy victories Sept. 15.
Brookfield Academy picked up a victory over Living Word Lutheran, while Wauwatosa West and Wauwatosa East both fell.
Brookfield Central 46, Wauwatosa West 0
Drew Leszczynski threw two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Brookfield Central to a 46-0 rout of Wauwatosa West.
The junior quarterback threw a pair of touchdowns to Julian Banda to help the Lancers build a 14-0 lead. Rashad Lampkin, Nick Leszczynski and Drew Leszczynski ran for second-quarter scores to give Brookfield Central a 33-0 lead at halftime.
Lampkin ran 10 times for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Drew Leszczynski finished 15 for 19 for 156 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 35 yards and a score. Banda caught 13 passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
The Lancers improved to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Greater Metro with the win.
Kyleon Parker ran for 99 yards on 15 carries for the Trojans (1-4 overall, 1-4 Greater Metro), which now must win its final three conference games (Germantown, West Allis Hale and Marquette) to become playoff eligible.
Brookfield Central will host Marquette on Sept. 22, while Wauwatosa West will head to Germantown to face the Warhawks.
Brookfield East 35, Menomonee Falls 0
In a rematch from a Division 2 Level 2 playoff matchup from a year ago, Brookfield East pulled away in the second half for a 35-0 rout of Menomonee Falls.
The Spartans (5-0 overall, 4-0 Greater Metro) went up 7-0 late in the second quarteron an interception return for a touchdown by Michael Poker. Sam McGath hit Peyton Simon for a 40-yard touchdown as time expired in the half to extend Brookfield East's lead to 14-0.
Touchdown runs by Cam McDonald and McGath and a pick-six interception by Brad Dati allowed the Spartans to run away in the second half.
Justin Parbs carried the ball 17 times for 91 yards, McDonald gained 78 yards on six carries and McGath threw for 98 yards and ran for 63.
Brookfield East will travel to Hart Park to face Wauwatosa East on Sept. 22.
Marquette 35, Wauwatosa East 20
Wauwatosa East hung with Marquette but couldn't overcome a 21-0 halftime deficit in a 35-20 loss to the Hilltoppers.
Trailing 21-0, the Red Raiders (1-4 overall, 1-4 Greater Metro) got on the board on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Long to Matthew Kubicek. After Marquette made it 28-6, Donovan Hunt returned the kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown.
A touchdown pass from Long to Hunt made it 35-20 with 1:24 left, but the Red Raiders could not pull closer.
Long threw for 128 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. In addition to his kickoff return touchdown, Hunt carried the ball nine times for 83 yards and caught four passes for 69 yards.
Tosa East will host Brookfield East at Hart Park on Sept. 22.
Brookfield Academy 41, Living Word Lutheran 7
Brookfield Academy ran for 369 yards and cruised to a 41-7 win over Living Word Lutheran.
Connor Guest carried 16 times for 144 yards and a touchdown. Daniel Kim ran for 111 yards and Jonathan Jensen gained 90 yards and scored two touchdowns on 10 carries.
Michael Ornek hit field goals of 52 and 40 yards for the Blue Knights. Kim and Wesley Jurva each returned interceptions for touchdowns.
Brookfield Academy (2-3 overall, 2-1 Midwest Classic) will play at Saint John's Military Academy on Sept. 22.
