WHAT IS NEEDED TO REGISTER FOR ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION AT BEHS
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WILL OUTLINE WHAT IS NEEDED TO REGISTER FOR ATHLETIC PARTICIPATION AT BROOKFIELD EAST. ALL ATHLETES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THE REQUIRED INFORMATION AND ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES ON FILE PRIOR TO PARTICIPATING IN ANY CAPACITY. THIS INCLUDES PRACTICES, SCRIMMAGES, AND COMPETITION. ALL DOCUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THIS PAGE.
Registration for all sports is done online at THIS SITE (https://brookfieldeasthighschool-ar.rschooltoday.com). Once information is entered once it will be saved in your account. HERE is an informational sheet to help you through the process. The registration site and informational sheet are also available under the tab "2018-19 Athletic Registration."
Physical Card (Medical Clearance):
Prior to participating in any tryout, practice, or event, your student must have a current physical signed by a doctor and guardian on file. The date on this physical must be on or after 4/1/17. You can call the athletic office at Brookfield East if you need to check on the status of medical clearance for your son or daughter. The required form can be downloaded, picked up in the main office or the athletic office at Brookfield East. Completed forms should be uploaded to the athletic registration site (Step 4). If your son/daughter does not need a physical for 2018-19 (he/she had one on or after 4/1/17) only the physical date (if known) needs to be added in Step 4 of the online registration process.
All athletes must meet the eligibility requirements established by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association in order to compete for Brookfield East. Additionally, athletes and parents are required to electronically sign (Step 6 of the online registration process) a form indicating their understanding and compliance with the rules of eligibility established by the WIAA. The rules and required form can be downloaded, picked up in the main office or the athletic office at Brookfield East.
Co-Curricular Code of Conduct:
It is a privilege to represent the Spartans in competition. The required form can be downloaded, picked up in the main office or the athletic office at Brookfield East. Please review the code with your student-athletes and be sure all the expectations and consequences are clearly understood. The Activity Code of Conduct is electronically signed (Step 6 of the online registration process) by both student-athletes and parents.
In 2012 a new state law was passed concerning sports concussions. Before a student may participate in practice or competition, a concussion information acknowledgment form must be electronically signed by both parent and student-athlete (Step 6 of the online registration process). If needed, forms can be downloaded or picked up in the main office or the athletic office at Brookfield East.
All athletes must pay the district required $80 activity fee each year before participating in competition for Brookfield East. Fees can be paid at THIS SITE or brought in to BEHS' bookkeeper. A total of $160 annually is to be paid for multi-sport athletes. Athletes participating in a third program do not pay those additional fees.
